An on-line tap changer filtration system operates as a continuous, closed-loop purification circuit. A pump draws oil from the LTC compartment and directs it through a multistage filtration process that removes harmful solid particulates. In some systems, the oil may also enter a vacuum chamber for dehydration and degasification to remove dissolved moisture and gases. The clean, purified oil is then returned to the tap changer, creating a constant cycle that maintains the oil’s dielectric properties and cleanliness while keeping the transformer online.
